Ingredients

  • Barley groats –
  • Chanterelle –
  • Leek –
  • Garlic –
  • Thyme –
  • Black pepper –
  • Optional salt –
  • Cheese –

Cooking instructions

  • Cut leek.
  • Prepare chanterelles: clean, rinse, and cut.
  • Fry the leek and garlic on a pan, add the chanterelles and fry briefly (about 2 min.).
  • Add the pearl barley, fry for a while stirring constantly.
  • Pour a glass of water (or broth, if you have one). Replenish water absorb by barley as necessarily. Continue for about 20 minutes. In the meantime, add thyme and pepper.
  • Serve sprinkled with grated cheese.
