Cabbage rolls with tofu

Ingredients

  • Cabbage –
  • Tofu –
  • Brown mushrooms –
  • Red onion –
  • Soy sauce –
  • Eggs –
  • Marjoram –
  • Garlic –

Cooking instructions

  • Dice tofu (I have used tofu marinated in herbs).
  • Cut finely onion and mushrooms.
  • Put cabbage in a boiling water for a short while, it will ease leaves removal and prevent them from breaking.
  • Remove the leaves from cabbage one by one.
  • Fry tofu for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add onion with mushrooms to tofu.
  • Add all spices, soy sauce, then stir in small amount of water (add water during the process as necessary).
  • Finally, let the water evaporate when tofu is ready, and leave it aside to cool.
  • Mix the cold stuffing with egg.
  • Arrange stuffing on leaves and roll.
  • To maintain shape of the rolls you can use toothpicks.
  • Steam the rolls for approximately 50 minutes.
